The Wildcat wrestling team finished a respectable 16th in Class 3 at the state wrestling meet with 37 points. The state meet was highlighted by the success of Bennett Lewis and Chris Cacciarelli, seniors. Lewis defeated Rudy May of Rockwood Summit 16-1 on a tech fall in the finals of the 195 pound weight class to cap off an undefeated season. Cacciarelli overcame losing in the first round to finish 6th in state in the 182 pound weight class. Overall, 10 Westminster wrestlers qualified for the state tournement; Lewis, Cacciarelli, Joe Welker, Mike Nothum, Dominic Barressi, Keegan Brown, Brink Thompson, and Joe Isaacs, seniors, Wes Park, junior, and Michael Weston, sophomore.
