What is a supercar?

A supercar is an exclusive, low production car that has good handling and goes fast. The reason a supercar is so fast is of course the engine. An example of an excellent supercar is the Lamborghini Huracan. It has a V10 engine with 602 horsepower and a mid engine layout for better weight distribution. This can propel the car to 60 miles per hour in under 3 seconds. The Huracan can also reach 202 miles per hour. This is a perfect example of a modern supercar. Another example of a supercar is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Unlike the Lamborghini, the Porsche has a rear engine layout and is much more reach track focused. It has a large rear wing, carbon fiber racing seats, stiff suspension, and sticky tires. This helps the car reach 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds and hit 193 miles per hour. Porsche has a long history of making fast supercars and so does Lamborghini. Both cars represent what a supercar should be and how they should be defined.
