Led by head coach Jennifer Meyer, the varsity track meets new heights in their season as records continue to be broken. Also, on Wednesday, April 16th, a track meet was held at the Westminster campus for the first time in WCA’s history.

“It was fun competing at the track where we put all of our hard work in everyday, and we wanted to win even more because it was our home field and we wanted to show what we can do,” said Connor Hafenrichter, sophomore on varsity track.

The WCA varsity track team ended up winning their first home meet, competing against St. Dominic, JFK High School, and Lutheran South. Senior Bo Thomas set a new school record when he jumped nine feet, six inches in the pole vault. With the new heights, times, throws, and jumps, it is no surprise the team gets to compete on their own turf.
