Pancake Breakfast

Pancake+Breakfast

Starting around 8:00 A.M. on Thursday morning, the senior class started a new spirit week tradition – a class color pancake breakfast. Hosted by Pawprint, students were welcome to come to the cafe and purchase pancakes in their class colors.

Pawprint staff was running back and forth between the cafe and their coffee shop, mixing pancake batter and drinks. They had multiple griddles set up throughout the cafe, flipping the bright pancakes and tossing chocolate chips into the batter.

The cafe was full of color and glitter as students in their best outer space wear gathered. Costumes ranged from aliens to spaceships to black holes as they stood in line for pancakes. Holographic and galaxy gear seemed to be favorites, and many students had glitter decorating their faces and hair.

Most of the seniors attended the breakfast as they wanted to gather as a class before the fourth day of Spirit Week for a senior tailgate. Over the sound of the music, they talked and laughed and continued to bond as a class.

Pawprint used the pancake breakfast as an opportunity to creatively branch out from their typical service of coffee, smoothies, and hot chocolate. The pancakes were a steal, costing $1 for 3 pancakes. If you purchased a drink from Pawprint Coffee, you could get your three pancakes for free.
