Next year’s South Dakota trip has been cancelled due to the increasing interest in the Oregon Summer Seminar.
“The Dakota trip is cancelled because the trip seemed too difficult and challenging in the eyes of many students” said Christopher Knerr, upper school history teacher. With a three-day bike tour on Mickelson trail, this seminar seems challenging.
Also, the Oregon seminar includes a float trip on the Grande Ronde River that, at certain times, can be as fun and fast as white water rafting.
The Oregon trip is also less demanding in terms of physical energy. Because of this, there will now be two trips to Oregon on July 5 and 8. The teachers that will be going on the trips include Christopher Knerr, Upper School history teacher, Claire Beerbower, Upper School english teacher, and Kelsey Walton, Upper School math teacher. This trip is only open to rising seniors.
