When a person celebrates a milestone birthday, it is a tradition for family and friends to plan a birthday party that honors the person and makes them feel special. Even though WCA is just a school, the community is planning to celebrate its fifty year anniversary with a variety of themed events through the 2025/2026 school year. Our homecoming theme this year is “Gold” to commemorate the 50th anniversary. These celebrations are planned by Shannon Kekhaev, Westminster’s Director of Advancement, and Katie Yeadon, Westminster’s Community Events Planner.
In order to commemorate the anniversary, the carnival was expanded to include a petting zoo, a special Veterans Day chapel was organized for November, an alumni chapel was scheduled for January and Westminster will hold a 50th anniversary gala in April. They helped make an expanded carnival, a special veterans day chapel, alumni chapel in January, and the 50th anniversary gala in April.
Yeadon, who graduated from Westminster in 1995 is excited to celebrate this amazing milestone with fellow alumni, and current students at WCA. God has been so faithful to Westminster, by giving us amazing staff and contributors who have been dedicated to Westminster’s growth and flourishing through the years. for days to come. The celebration will connect parents, staff, and alumni, to recognize our growth and expansion as a community.
There are many events set to take place this year for Westminster Christian Academy, “We have so many amazing events happening throughout the school year to celebrate this exciting milestone: An expanded carnival, a special Veteran’s Day chapel, Alumni Chapel in January and of course the Gala in April. There might be a few other things we have up our sleeve as well!”
We have many exciting events planned this year at the academy, hopefully you are able to come to some of them! Our school has grown so much and we are delighted to celebrate this anniversary with everyone! This is a chance to tell the stories of the decades of WCA and to celebrate people who had a leading role in starting this school. As this year progresses we continue to celebrate our history and accomplishments of a community.
WCA is excited to celebrate this milestone year with everyone! As we continue in this year we recognize how lucky we are to have grown so much in the past fifty years with people supporting our community through every hardship and change that has come our way. We are celebrating the hard work and dedication of staff and parents who have worked so hard to make our school a success! Thanking everyone who has made this celebration possible.
