Wrapping up In The Spirit of Giving week, on Friday, November 6,  Westminster students are encouraged to donate school supplies that are being delivered to associations that help low income schools and families with their basic school essentials. The items collected are delivered to Pipes international, Kidsmart, and Freedom School Elementary.

Pipes International is an association that ships school supplies to children in Africa who are in need of supplies for their basic education. This organization is primarily based in Kenya, and their mission is to provide basic school supplies for the hundreds of children in Kenya who are deprived from basic educational opportunities.

Kidsmart is a company whose mission is to supply children and classrooms within the greater metropolitan area of Saint Louis who do not have access to school supplies. By donating items to Kidsmart, teachers are welcome to shop in the Kidmarts factory store at no cost in order to gather items such as writing utensils and notebooks for their classroom needs.

Freedom School Elementary is a private, christian school in Saint Louis that contains grades Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Their primary goal is to provide basic education to those in Saint Louis with diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.

To conclude ITSOG week, Westminster students are provided the opportunity to impact multiple students’ education.
