ITSOG – Thursday is Baby Day!

On Thursday, Westminster has chosen to serve Thrive St. Louis, The St. Louis Diaper Bank, and The Christian Pregnancy Care Clinic.  All of the organizations provide basic needs for young women and families with young children.

Thrive St. Louis is a Christian organization that serves women all across the St. Louis area. They help guide women on making important choices in their life involving sex, pregnancy, and relationships.

The St. Louis Diaper Bank serves young families by providing diapers to families in need. On average, providing baby diapers and formula for a child costs around $50 per week. For most families, this cost is an impossible obstacle in the raising of their child. The St. Louis Diaper Bank collects and distributes diapers through partner organizations to families most in need in the St. Louis Area.

The Christian Pregnancy Care Clinic provides young parents with diapers, clothes, toys, baby formula, and other necessities. The Christian Pregnancy Care Clinic serves around 200 clients each month that struggle to provide needs for themselves and their families. They offer parents the ability to earn points by attending parenting classes, Bible studies, counseling hours, and other forms of education. These points that they earn can be used to buy the basic necessities.

As Christians we are called to serve and help those around us. As Westminster students we can help these organizations by donating diapers, bedding, sheets, baby bottles, baby wipes, sleepers, onesies, bibs, winter coats for babies, baby wash, lotion, wash cloths, towels, and receiving blankets. You can serve these families by donating these items on Thursday at Westminster.
