ITSOG – Tuesday is Toys for Teens Day!

On Tuesday at WCA, students will be donating toys for teenagers who are less fortunate. These toys will be used for teens and kids to have fun games to play when they enter the organizations who will be receiving our donations.

The first organization is Whole Kids Outreach located in Ellington, Missouri who serves six counties in southeastern Missouri. This organization helps kids who have been abused or neglected in their homes and finds ways to help them thrive in their family structures. The WKO program helps educate kids and parents to live a life without abuse and neglect. They improve their health and try to decrease their poverty levels. The goal is for these people to eventually live on their own successfully.

The second organization is Mission St. Louis, located near Forest Park who has been helping families in the city of St. Louis since 2006. Mission STL has a goal to empower people by giving them opportunities for success in their community. They address extreme poverty and the issues surrounding and keeping families in poverty. Sharing the truths of the Gospel with everyone entering their doors is their highest priority. They run a program called Beyond School, an after school program for kids in the St. Louis public school system. This program gives kids opportunities for enrichment and academic help as well as a time for games.

To help these organizations, please bring toys of any kind to school on Tuesday, November 3rd. These organizations also accept purses, wallets, bath sets, leggings, basketballs, and socks.
