Nina Thampy, senior, is a staff writer who joined Newspaper this year. She has been French Club president for the past two years and has been involved with the Latin, Spanish, French, AV, Set Club and the Literary Rogues Society in past four years. She enjoys blogging and hanging out with friends. She will be attending Calvin College in the fall with hopeful plans of pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Elise Hearne, senior, has been on staff for two years and works as a photography editor for the Wildcat Roar. She plays lacrosse for the Wildcats and manages the varsity football team. She is in concert choir at Westminster, loves volunteering at Children’s hospital, and plans to study nursing next year.
Summer Smith, senior, is the Community Section Editor and has been on staff for three years. She plays select soccer for J.B. Marine and Varsity soccer and softball for Westminster. When she grows up, she wants to do something in the medical field.
Ellie Straub, senior and third year staff member, is the Editor in Chief. This is her second year for being Chief. She is on the swim team, and has been for four years. Her dad owns the famous local grocery store, Straub’s. She enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends.
Christian Linhoff, sophmore, is a current staff writer for the WCA Roar. He likes movies and music and frequently reads about them. He is a lover of history and hopes to one day be apart of it.
Melinda Oliver, senior, has been on staff for four years and has served as Feature’s Editor and the current Big Picture Editor. Melinda worked as Varsity Football manager for two years and headed WCA’s effort to collect money for the Congo Mission Network for In The Spirit of Giving (ITSOG) 2012. Melinda hopes to become an attorney and a fiction writer one day.
Jessica Johnson is the life section editor. She is a senior this year and has played on the varsity softball team for the past 4 years. Jessica hopes to go to the south for college and major in either marketing or nutrition.
Morgan Koetting, junior, has been on staff for three years and is currently the Opinions Editor, Business Editor, and Columnist. She participates in the French Club, NHS, and Scholar Bowl. In her free time, she writes novels, edits short films, and SCUBA dives. She is actively involved in her church, serving in the nursery, youth group, and home groups. Morgan aspires to be a director and screenwriter after college.
John Pottebaum, freshman, has been a staff writer for one year. He is passionate about sports of any kind, but is especially interested in baseball. He plays competitively year around, and hopes to enter that field in someway when he grows up. Other than that, John just loves life, and making people smile.
Sadie Stipanovich, senior and third year staff member, is the Design Editor of the Wildcat ROAR. She will be attending SLU next year to play basketball. She also plays volleyball for Westminster, her team won the Class 3 title this past fall. She loves to read and hang out with her friends and family.
Reed Montgomery, junior, is a second year staff-writer for the WCA Roar. He is a member of the National Honors Society and is the captain of the tennis team. He hopes that he will some day become a banker.
Parker is a fourth year senior and the print editor of the Wildcat Roar. He is passionate about politics and plans to attend the University of Missouri’s journalism school next year. He enjoys long walks on the beach, pastel shirts, and thinking about the meaning of life.
Megan Galvin is a sophomore and this is her first year as a Staff Writer. She swims competitively year-round. Someday Megan wants to be a journalist or a lawyer.
Mary Wynn, junior, has been a staff writer for less than a year. She is the president of the Spanish Club and enjoys running cross country runner and playing soccer. She hopes to manage her own business when she grows up or go into advertising.
Maggi Eachus, freshman, is in her first year on staff. She enjoys reading novels, dancing, and is a member of the french club. She also loves playing softball and lacrosse. When she grows up she would like to become a surgeon or a therapist.
Audrey O’Neill, freshman, is currently a staff writer. This is her first year on staff. Audrey is an avid dancer, and she is most interested in ballet. She also enjoys camping, nature, and literature. When she is an adult, she hopes to work in the medical field.

Scott Rupprecht, junior, is on his second year on the newspaper staff and one of the two Photo Editors. He is the Ultimate Frisbee Club president and captain, which is played in the fall, and plays tennis in the spring. He hopes to make it on varsity this year, and he is a step ahead of the game, because he works at Creve Coure Racquet Club by teaching tennis to kids, adults, and teenagers. His hopes for his future is that fuzzy, but has an interest in buisness, marketing, economics, and math.
Eli Parham, sophomore, has been on staff for two years and is a current Staff Writer. He enjoys wrestling and swimming. Additionally, he is currently rebuilding a 65′ Mustang for his first car. Eli’s future ambitions include pursuing a career in automotive engineering.
Sam Parham, sophomore, is a second year newspaper staffer. He wrestles and swims for Westminster and spends his other spare time restoring a 1965 Ford Mustang for his first car. Sam is very interested in engineering and loves science and math. He is planning on becoming an engineer in the car industry.
Steven is the Sports Editor for the Wildcat Roar. He is a senior and has been on the staff for two years. He plays football, is on the leadership of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and is on the We The People team. He is deciding between Greenville College, Wheaton College, and WIsconsin Lutheran College. He wants to be a high school history teacher and a football coach.
Chrissy Talent, sophomore, is a staff writer for the Newspaper who joined this year. She likes to write short stories and act in the school plays in her free time. She hopes to publish one of her stories and wants to be either a teacher or psychologist when she grows up.
Catherine Bakewell, junior, is a first-year Staff Writer for the Roar. She has been a member of the Westminster Concert Choir fo three years and is the current Vice President of the Literary Rogues Society. Catherine loves to write poetry and also edits her novel in her free time. She strives to someday be a professional writer and to double major in English and Spanish.

Jill Coyne, junior, has been on staff for two years and is the current Online Editor. She is a varsity cheerleader whose squad also competes as well as cheers at football and basketball games. Jill is active in her church and serves as a Sunday School teacher in the Children’s Ministry and is an Upward cheer coach for young girls. She wishes to be an elementary school teacher when she grows up.
