Nina Thampy

Nina Thampy, senior, is a staff writer who joined Newspaper this year. She has been French Club president for the past two years and has been involved with the Latin, Spanish, French, AV, Set Club and the Literary Rogues Society in past four years. She enjoys blogging and hanging out with friends. She will be attending Calvin College in the fall with hopeful plans of pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Elise Hearne

Elise Hearne, senior, has been on staff for two years and works as a photography editor for the Wildcat Roar. She plays lacrosse for the Wildcats and manages the varsity football team. She is in concert choir at Westminster, loves volunteering at Children’s hospital, and plans to study nursing next year.

Ellie Straub, senior and third year staff member, is the Editor in Chief. This is her second year for being Chief. She is on the swim team, and has been for four years. Her dad owns the famous local grocery store, Straub’s. She enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends.

Melinda Oliver, senior, has been on staff for four years and has served as Feature’s Editor and the current Big Picture Editor. Melinda worked as Varsity Football manager for two years and headed WCA’s effort to collect money for the Congo Mission Network for In The Spirit of Giving (ITSOG) 2012. Melinda hopes to become an attorney and a fiction writer one day.

Morgan Koetting, junior, has been on staff for three years and is currently the Opinions Editor, Business Editor, and Columnist. She participates in the French Club, NHS, and Scholar Bowl. In her free time, she writes novels, edits short films, and SCUBA dives. She is actively involved in her church, serving in the nursery, youth group, and home groups. Morgan aspires to be a director and screenwriter after college.

Sadie Stipanovich, senior and third year staff member, is the Design Editor of the Wildcat ROAR. She will be attending SLU next year to play basketball. She also plays volleyball for Westminster, her team won the Class 3 title this past fall. She loves to read and hang out with her friends and family.

Andrea Reed, junior, is excited to be a part of the Westminster Newspaper staff for the first time. She enjoys writing opinion columns, or things that students are interested in. Outside of writing, Andrea enjoys cheering on Westminster’s Varsity cheer squad and contributing to her church’s youth program. When she grows up, Andrea would like to have a career in some type of business or marketing department.

Scott Rupprecht

Scott Rupprecht, junior, is on his second year on the newspaper staff and one of the two Photo Editors. He is the Ultimate Frisbee Club president and captain, which is played in the fall, and plays tennis in the spring. He hopes to make it on varsity this year, and he is a step ahead of the game, because he works at Creve Coure Racquet Club by teaching tennis to kids, adults, and teenagers. His hopes for his future is that fuzzy, but has an interest in buisness, marketing, economics, and math.

Eli Parham, sophomore, has been on staff for two years and is a current Staff Writer. He enjoys wrestling and swimming. Additionally, he is currently rebuilding a 65′ Mustang for his first car. Eli’s future ambitions include pursuing a career in automotive engineering.

Steven is the Sports Editor for the Wildcat Roar. He is a senior and has been on the staff for two years. He plays football, is on the leadership of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and is on the We The People team. He is deciding between Greenville College, Wheaton College, and WIsconsin Lutheran College. He wants to be a high school history teacher and a football coach.

Jill Coyne, junior, has been on staff for two years and is the current Online Editor. She is a varsity cheerleader whose squad also competes as well as cheers at football and basketball games. Jill is active in her church and serves as a Sunday School teacher in the Children’s Ministry and is an Upward cheer coach for young girls. She wishes to be an elementary school teacher when she grows up.
