“Frozen” Replaces the Spring Hoedown

On Friday, April 4, students gathered in the WCA Theatre to watch Disney’s Frozen. Kids of all ages, both Westminster students and children of teachers, showed up to sing along and watch the movie together.

“We’ve been doing the Spring Hoedown for the past 6 years or so. So we wanted to try something new by watching a fun movie on the plaza, but due to the inclement weather, this was moved to the theatre,” said Greg Fleissner, senior and president of STUCO.

STUCO hosted a costume contest and had snacks for sale during intermission. One student who participated in the contest was Paris Hubler, who made her own Elsa costume.

“I’ve been working on this dress for the past month just for fun. I definitely want to do this again,” said Paris Hubler, freshman.

The event had a good turnout and was successful overall, helping to start a new tradition of a different kind of Spring events.
