Friday Night Frenzy

The gym is filled with screaming fans, Mike Ferrara and his apprentice Zach Schopp lead the cheering, and the Christian High School students do their best to catch up. The basketball game on Friday night is, for many people, the highlight of their school year. The Wildcats defeated the Christian High Eagles 65 to 57. Senior Tony Thompson was the team’s high scorer. The highlight of the night was the Blue Crew’s cheering. Cries of “He’s a Freshman!” rang from the the crowd every time John Eric Steiner, the third highest scorer on the team, got a basket. The competition between the classes was virtually invisible, all the students were focused on rooting for their Varsity basketball team and showing off the best of our Blue Man Stomp, Boys Poms, and Lip Sync routines. The faces on the Christian High School visitors were priceless. The Seniors ended up with the victory again after placing first in both Boys Poms and Lip Sync. The Senior Class was ecstatic after the announcement of their win, turning the gym into a virtual mosh pit.
